The future of Robotekin may not be written yet. And it may be the responsibility of those who now only contemplate this challenge as a dream. That is why it is strategic for this ‘Hub’ to awaken the scientific-technological interest among future generations, to stimulate that talent to the extent of our possibilities and also to promote #STEAM vocations in the Basque Country.
Vocations such as those who recently took part in the FIRST LEGO League Euskadi, a school competition that has robotics as its `raison d’être´ and which recently celebrated its 15th edition in Vitoria-Gasteiz, specifically at the Faculty of Education and Sports (UPV/EHU).
The event, which is aligned with the STEAM Euskadi Education Strategy, was promoted by the Basque Innovation Agency Innobasque, which as in previous events was supported by the University of Deusto, Mondragon Unibertsitatea and UPV/EHU, as well as a number of other companies, technology centers and associations that pushed for robotics and automation. Among them, Robotekin.
The winning teams have already qualified for the next phase, which will be held on March 16 in #Alicante. There they will exhibit their innovation projects, and their robots will compete for a pass to the world finals in #Houston (USA), to be held from April 17-20.
We wish the best of luck to those who will have the opportunity to cross the ‘pond’. To the rest, to those who fought to the end, our congratulations for the quality, originality and creativity of the projects. You may not have won in the end, but you should know that success is often found on the way…
