RUBI, new Robotekin partner

The IPM RUBI Group, one of the European benchmarks in the development of structural and appearance components for the automotive industry, has just joined Robotekin as a partner, bringing to 39 the number of companies that are part of the first Robotics and Automation Hub in the Basque Country.

With almost 70 years of experience, Rubi’s structure has three production plants, in addition to the headquarters in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and employs 400 people specialized in the design, manufacture and assembly of metal parts and assemblies assembled with more than 100 robots, for multinationals in the sector such as Mercedes, Stellantis, Volkswagen, etc. A large part of the skeleton and all the roofs of the Mercedes-Benz VITO, for example, bear the stamp of this company, which is currently immersed in an ambitious plan to continue growing, expand internationally and complete its digitalization processes.

For Álvaro Díaz de Guereñu, Rubi’s innovation director, being part of this Association “will allow us to remain aligned and in touch with the latest trends in robotics and automation, which will undoubtedly have a direct impact on our engineering, production and assembly processes”.

Robotikaren eta Automatizazioaren Euskal Elkartea – ROBOTEKIN – Basque Robotics and Automation Association is the official name of this meeting place for the robotics and automation ecosystem. A new and strategic instrument created to underpin competitiveness and to provide creative and unique solutions to the business fabric of Alava and the Basque Country.
